Sir John Hicks Professor of Economics

I study how inequality impacts the macro economy and macroeconomic policy.

I am a macroeconomist studying how the enormous heterogeneity observed at the micro level, and in particular the large disparities in income and wealth, impact the macro economy and macroeconomic policy.

I currently serve as a co-editor of the American Economic Review.

I hold the Sir John Hicks Chair in Economics at LSE. Here is a collection of Hicks’ most important contributions to economics in their original form.
